The explosive simulant is a hands-on tool of practicing detection and identification of peroxide based explosives, such as TATP an HMTD, by the Acro-PET. The simulant can be used by trainers, airport security, border security, law enforcement and other interagency users. The simulant is completely transportable via air or ground as it is made from inert components that are not regulated by the EPA, DOT, IATA or ICAO.

Color: White to pale yellow.
Odor: Odorless.
Melting point: Decomposition temperature: > 527°F (> 275°C).
Flammability: Not applicable.
Explosive Properties: Non explosive.
Oxidizing Properties: Oxidizer.
Vapor Pressure: Not applicable.
Bulk Density: Specific gravity: 0.5 g/mL.
Water solubility: Practically insoluble (< 0.01% at 20°C). Dissolves in acidic water and releases hydrogen peroxide.
Store in a dry location away from heat and out of direct sunlight.
Eye contact: Irritation and redness. Flush eyes with running water for 15 minutes.
Skin contact: Irritating and redness. Wash the affected skin with water.
Ingestion: Irritation of the mouth throat. Rinse mouth and administer fresh water.
