Israel, October 5, 2009, Acro (OTC BB:ACRI) products, including ACRO-SET, ACRO-CH.E.T and ACRO ETK5 Plus, are among the few selected Colorimetric Explosive Detectors to be officially examined by the US Department of Defense laboratories.
The DoD's Explosive Detection Equipment (EDE) Program is about to conduct a Comparative Test and Evaluation of Colorimetric Explosive Detection Equipment (EDE) requiring visual interpretation by the operator. Several hundred units of these Acro products were recently ordered for the experiments. Upon conclusion of the comparative tests Acro will be informed about the detailed results. A complete comparative test and evaluation report will be available to all US Government personnel and military in order to assist their decision making process concerning purchasing policy. Although the report is not allowed to recommend a specific system or a particular brand, the results will clearly highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each product on the list. "The DoD decision to include Acros products in a most prestigious Explosive Test and Evaluation program represents a significant milestone in our efforts to deepen our penetration in the North American Homeland Security market says Gadi Aner, CEO and Chairman of Acro. The Acro products are designed for extensive use by diverse law-enforcement personnel, including soldiers, police officers, customs officers, as well as security personnel in shopping centers, banks, sports arenas, etc. These tests are important because many organizations worldwide watch carefully any decision made by the US military and Department of Homeland Security."
