Mr. Aner has founded and managed several high-profile hi-tech
companies, including Symposia (Israel) Ltd., Verdant Biotechnologies
and Pharmore Therapeutics Ltd.
He has a wealth of experience in various sectors of the hi-tech industry.
His achievements include the development and implementation of software
and online applications for events organization; the improvement of
agricultural biotechnologies to enhance crop resistance; and the advancement
of reduced-toxicity compounds for the treatment of cancer in collaboration

Professor Keinan was until recently the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry
at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, holder of the Benno
Gitter and Ilana Ben-Ami Chair of Biotechnology, and Adjunct Professor
at the Department of Molecular Biology and the Skaggs Institute of
Chemical Biology at the Scripps research Institute in La Jolla, California.
His impressive academic achievements, along with his extensive experience
in scientific research and application has made him a highly-respected
and sought-after expert in the upper echelons of academia, in Israel
and worldwide.
He has published 150 scientific papers, edited 3 books and 3 special
issues of the Israel Journal of Chemistry, and has over 20 patents
to his name. His latest book, Catalytic Antibodies is the first and
most comprehensive volume in its field. Prof. Keinan is considered
one of the world’s foremost experts in the science of Improvised
Explosives.
He has been awarded:

- The New England Award for Academic Excellence
- The Shannon Award of NIH
- The CapCure Award
- The Herschel-Rich Award for Scientific Excellence
- The Technion Prize for Security Technologies
- The Henry Taub Prize for Exellence in Research
He was also bestowed the Joseph and Madeleine Nash Career Development
Chair, was a visiting Professor at the University of Paris VI, and
is a member of both the editorial board of the Israel Journal of Chemistry
and the international advisory board of Enzyme and Microbial Technology.
Professor Keinan’s academic milestones include:
- B.Sc. from Tel-Aviv University (1970).
- M.Sc. from Ben-Gurion University (1971) with Prof. L. H. Zalkow
(natural product chemistry).
- Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science (1977) with Prof.
Y. Mazur (dry ozonation chemistry).
- Post-doctoral research (1977-1980) at the University of Wisconsin
at Madison with Prof. B. M. Trost (synthetic applications of organopalladium
chemistry).
- Establishment of a research lab in the Weizmann Institute of
Science, focusing on organometallic chemistry, organic synthesis
and applied enzymology.
- Establishment of a research lab in the Technion – Israel
Institute of Technology, focusing on drug discovery, organometallic
chemistry, organic synthesis, biomolecular computing, biocatalysis,
and improvised explosives.
- Establishment of a research lab in The Scripps Research Institute,
focusing on anti-cancer agents, catalytic antibodies, synthetic
enzymes, molecular machines, and molecular containers.
In addition, Professor Keinan is:
- President of the International Forum of Bio-Inspired Engineering
(IFBIE)
- Founder and first Head of the Institute of Catalysis Science
and Technology (ICST, Technion Israel).
- Former President of the Israel Chemical Society.

Mr. Elnathan holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the Wharton School of
Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2002, he has served
as chairman of the Accounting Department at the College of Management
in Israel, and was previously a professor of Clinical Accounting at
the University of Southern California. Mr. Elnathan has also served
as a member of the Board of Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee
of Israeli public company Vita Pri Hagalil since 2004. |
